A Market Analysis is a useful tool when negotiating the price of
an aircraft, helicopter, or experimental aircraft. It can give you a general
figure as to the value of the airplane without actually having an appraisal
performed. A market analysis is used to inform a buyer, seller, or owner the
current value of the aircraft based on information submitted to us with the
completion of a form. It is not considered an actual aircraft appraisal since a
professional aircraft appraiser will never visit the aircraft. A Market Analysis
is substantially lower in cost than an appraisal and is generally an option when
you are searching for a bargaining tool when purchasing an aircraft, helicopter,
or experimental aircraft.
The client provides all the information regarding the aircraft
and it is the responsibility of the client to ensure the accuracy of the data
being submitted. We will supply you with a form for compiling the data that
should be returned to us completed. The form will provide you with instructions
on the use of a grading system that you will use to determine actual condition.
When we receive the completed form, it will be checked to ensure that all
relevant information is clear and accurate. We will then input the information
into the extensive NAAA database, the same database that is used in researching
values for a Certified Appraisal. We will send you a letter representing a
market analysis of the information you submitted.
A Market Analysis cannot be used in obtaining financing and
cannot be used for any other purpose other than giving you an estimate of the
fair market value. When in doubt you can call us and we can discuss which option
is better for you.
