Are you purchasing an aircraft?
We can assist you in determining the value of the aircraft in question so
that you can make an "Informed Purchase". Remember an impulsive purchase can
cost you thousands of dollars. If you are financing an aircraft, a valuable tool
for the approval of that loan is a Certified Aircraft Appraisal.
Are you selling your aircraft?
Normally aircrafts that are appraised often sell 50% quicker than those who
do not take advantage of this service. A signed and Certified appraisal is
proof as to the current market value of the aircraft therefore most buyers will
not try to negotiate into a price tag that is unreasonable.
Banks and Lenders...Are you lending towards the purchase of
an aircraft?
We can provide an unbiased value of an aircraft based on the current aircraft
market, condition of the airframe and engine, condition of the propellers,
instrumentation, avionics, and most of all the logbooks which are an indicator
of the history of the aircraft. A Certified aircraft appraisal provided by KS
Aircraft Associates, Inc, can also support the banks collateral position with an
aircraft loan.
What is an Aircraft Appraisal?
An aircraft appraisal is a judgment of value prepared by experts that study
the constant changes in the aircraft market. The changes normally occur by the
fluctuations in not only the aircraft blue book value itself but also by the
condition of the airframe, engine, propellers, instrumentation, avionics, and
logbooks. It
is not a "Pre-buy Inspection" completed by a mechanic on the field, which
ultimately is a guess. It is an professional examination of the aircraft and all
its components and most of all the aircraft history. The information is run
through a database that calculates the value of the aircraft based on
comparable sales and the fluctuations in the market. The Aircraft Appraiser must
acquire all the facts about the aircraft in question. The appraiser thoroughly
examines the aircraft log books, inspects the aircraft's interior and exterior
and pays close attention to the present condition and the maintenance history of
the aircraft. Using the National Aircraft Appraisers Association's extensive
Computer System, facilitates the appraiser to give accurate and prompt Aircraft
Appraisals.
What can a Certified Aircraft Appraiser provide for you?
Our appraisers will provide a detailed visual examination of the airframe,
propellers, instrumentation, avionics and all relative systems. We will then
painstakingly review all available aircraft documentation including log books
etc.. Once this is done, we will input the information into a database which
will calculate the aircraft's value based on the information provided. A
certified appraisal will be drafted and a computer generated report will be
submitted to you with a sealed certificate of appraisal.
How long will it take for a Certified Appraisal to be
completed?
The length of time an Appraiser will need to submit a sealed Certified
Appraisal depends on many factors such as where the airplane is located, how
large the airplane is, how many engines, documentation and logbooks that are
vague, tattered, or not original. An appraiser generally will make a short
visual examination accompanied by taking digital pictures or even video, but
will require even more time doing the actual research and also examining
documentation. Normally, an appraisal can be drafted any where from 6-8 days.
